Jake Riepma graduated from Northwood University in 2015 with a major in Sports Management. He is currently a Show Host for Locked On Detroit for the Locked on Podcast Network.
“My love for sports broadcasting began at a very early age! As a kid, I would imitate my favorite sports announcers and announce the neighborhood backyard football and wiffle ball games. One time, I was ‘ejected’ from a backyard football game by my mom for mouthing off after arguing a likely poor call from mom the referee. I was of course sent to my room which happened to overlook the yard. I decided to take a shot at being the announcer from my homemade press box (my bedroom window) and proceeded to announce the game for the imaginary fans in attendance.
